Brushed Ice ball maker #12

Sale Price:$525.00 Original Price:$700.00
sold out

A sphere has the least surface area to internal volume, meaning it’s the ideal shape for an ice ‘cube’ because it will melt slower and more evenly than any other shape.  Plus, it looks amazing in your favorite beverage!  When clean, pure water is used and frozen without bubbles or inclusions, the effect is as mesmerizing as a clear glass marble.  With a an ice ball of this size, you'll have rocks in your drink for over an hour before it melts.  Aluminum is a great conductor of heat, so it quickly melts the ice outside of the form.  Any size or shape of ice can be used to create a sphere, however a block that's roughly the right shape will be fastest. Commercial molds can be used, or a solo “keg cup” works almost as well.  Ice spheres can be made in about 2 minutes, or less if you preheat the mold with warm tap water.  No additional pressure is required to melt the ice, the weight of the top half is enough to craft the shape. Our spheres are larger than most available:  the ice sphere produced is a full 2.95” while most others are 1.5” in diameter or less.

This model features a brushed finish, which is suitable for general use and is very durable for commercial use. Contact surfaces between the 2 halves is engine turned finish which will not show scratches from use.
